It’s so fun to sit with Kathy Griffin, because you never know what she’ll say next. And that is exactly what keeps us coming back for more—much more.
Kathy is wonderfully spontaneous and quick on her feet, because it’s her job. She also does her homework and it shows, no matter where she’s giving a performance; she’ll make you feel like she’s a resident. She’s super-smart, articulate and confident, and she’s an inspiration to other female comedians determined to conquer the still-challenging landscape once dominated only by males. She’s beautiful and she’s fit, and she has one great dog, Larry, who could teach us a thing or two about takin’ it easy.
Great news! If she hasn’t already, Kathy’s probably coming to a city near you with her “#LIKEABOSS” tour already in full, rollicking swing. Today she announces her upcoming performances at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles on Nov. 4 and 5. And if you’re in New York City, you must see her Nov. 12 at Carnegie Hall. Go here to Kathy’s website and click on “Tour Schedule” and you’ll find seats with your name on them. Laugh your derriere off, and let me know here how you loved it.
In the pursuit of that laughter, she’s not afraid of saying things that may offend others. When that happens, she knows she’s gotten through to them and hit a nerve. She doesn’t hold back when discussing other celebrities or current trends in pop culture. She’ll never run out of material.
Kathy’s bio is testimony to her work ethic and her wonderful talent. She’s won two Emmys—which I had the honor of sitting right next to—and she knows Grammy, too! Kathy has hosted an impressive 23 stand-up TV specials, she’s a New York Times best-selling author, and she’s definitely done TV in so many memorable ways. She’s a live event host, a voiceover talent, and tireless advocate for the LGBT community. Does she have energy? Yes, and it’s boundless.
Kathy Griffin is cool. Get to know her better here and please do not miss her tour—for all the riveting and hilarious things she didn’t say here.
