With so many products “out there,” it can sometimes feel like we’re swimming in a sea of “What should I buy?” I know and I feel the same way. Nice to have a little help from my friends with this perennial anti-aging challenge.
Don’t know if you’re familiar with the belif true herbal cosmetic brand: It’s Korean and it is what it says. I’ve been lucky to try a few of the products and I love the concept and the quality. And thanks to the fabulous team at blue sky communications: No, I wasn’t paid to review these beauties for us beauties, but I sure did have fun doing it! Oh, and my skin looks and feels soooo nice.
No waste
In a world where so much can be “over the top,” it’s nice to see a brand cut back on excess. It uses “rare, natural and true herbs,” avoiding synthetic preservatives, dyes, fragrances, mineral oil and animal origin ingredients, and has a tried-and-true 150-year history. There’s not too much packaging, either, and earth thanks belif for that.
Here’s what I tried and didn’t just like: I loved these products!
- belif Peat miracle revital cream: $60
- belif Peat miracle revital mask: $40
- belif Peat miracle revital serum concentrate: $60
My face feels like it’s celebrating a holiday every time I open one of the jars.
You know about peat, yes? Astringent, anti-inflammatory and replete with antioxidants. The company says it sources its peat from the Lehtosuo region in Finland, promising “pure” peat. In case you didn’t know, peat is an accumulation of partially decayed vegetation or organic matter that is unique to natural areas called peatlands, bogs, or mires. It makes a natural transformation from “ugh” as the key most beneficial ingredient in these belif products.
Clean skin
Another line that’s no nonsense but high on results: VMV Hypoallergenics (est. 1979). I tried the:
- Re-Everything Treatment Toner: $42
- Re-Everything Cream: anti-age primary treatment: $90
- Re-Everything Eye Serum: $80
- Re-Everything Face-Hand-Body Lotion: $45
The idea is that the products create a “Re-“ synergy to renew, revive, regenerate, revitalize, rebuild and replicate. Sounds like the ideal verbs for our age marvelous, mature female community, yes? Think cellular rejuvenation, micro-dermabrasion, antioxidant repair and much more.
The company promises its claims are backed by detailed studies and that its dermatologist is committed to “cell-to-surface healthy, microscopically sound skin.” I want that.
The eyes have it
So how are your brows these days? Thin, scraggly, shapeless? Try GrandeBROW eyebrow enhancing serum and within 6 weeks to a couple of months you’ll be saying, “How now, new brow!” The product includes vitamins, peptides, and amino acids and conditioners: $79.95.
Moving further south on the face, if your lashes need a boost, these two products are just the ticket, but they’re not just mascara: GrandeMASCARA and GrandeLASH-MD are great friends to your lashes.
The mascara conditions and nourishes: Peptides, panthenols and waxes do that job: $24.95. Expect more dramatic results with Grande’s MD formula; you’ll see them in a month, even more three months later: $64.95.
Try them; you’ll like them. Let me know how these make your skin’s life better. And yours.
